Muppett's Send-off
Following the sad news of the passing of our friend and colleague, Muppett, last month, we are now able to provide information on his send-off, from Muppett’s daughter, Gemma, and stepson, Matt:
Muppett, Michael, Dad was known and loved by many and was a bit of a legend in his own right. Unfortunately he died way too soon, but was doing something he loved, singing in a pub. He was well known across Bradford for his work as a community worker and also did a lot for charity. He loved walking and also singing his comical songs. He was the best father, stepfather and grandad that anyone could have asked for.
He didn't want a funeral, so in his honour we will be throwing a celebration of his life:
Saturday 14th September
4pm to late
Coopers Bar and Kitchen, 4-6 Otley Road, Guiseley, LS20 8AH
On the night, an auction will be held for five of Muppett’s song books and there will be a chance to pick up one of his many walking books and maps, for a small donation. All money will be going to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation and DalesBus, as they both meant a lot to him. There will be a chance to reflect on his life and later on, a sing-around where we can sing along to some of his much loved silly songs. So please bring your instruments along. Bright colours, shorts and crocs optional.
The family are inviting everyone to join them to give Muppett the send-off he deserves.
